Blessings, Thank Yous, and More Awards

Recently I discovered that Mary P Jones had received this Bloggin Blessing and was passing it along to ME and two other new readers at A Room of Mama's Own. I want to express my appreciation here to MPJ for this kindness.

The blessing started with Ukok and we are each to bless three people:
"The idea… it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for one blog friend. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to. If you receive a bloggin’ blessin’ please leave a comment on this thread here so that we can rejoice in just how many blessings have been sent around the world!"
Choosing just 3 blogs to honor with this award was challenging, however (after considerable reflection) I've decided that I want to take this opportunity to bless the following three individuals. Each provides a way for bloggers to find and connect with one another. I hope you'll visit each of them as time permits.

Rachael (otherwise known as Magpie Girl) encourages Small is Beautiful and Passionate Blogging.

Carla (at zena musings and Women at Rest) inspires and challenges bloggers to explore through My Sacred Life and Sacred Life Sunday.

Claudia (at On a Limb) started Everyday Kindness as a way to invite and inspire fellow bloggers be mindful of small ways to encourage and support one another in the real and virtual worlds.

Thank you Karen!

Because Karen was kind enough to bounce this award back to ME ... I'm able to pass it along to more of you "virtual friends" who Make MY Day!!! I hereby award this to the following bloggers and would like to introduce you to one another if you've not yet met. Remember ... each of you may pass this award on to up to ten bloggers who make YOUR day! (You can find more specific instructions and links to previous recipients here.) As you do so, please link back to this post (and/or blog) so that I'll be introduced to YOUR blogging friends too. Now that the Australian Open is over, I'll be visiting more regularly. Enjoy!

Mother of Invention at Spilling Out!

Peajay at Mórán cainte ar bheagán cúise

His Girl Friday at Wellied on Life

Talking Bear at Sleepy Bear Hollow

Chani at Thailand Gal

Yertle at Smile, Play, Dream

Mike Golch at Rambling Stuff

Kara at Spirtdoll (even though she's decided to leave the virtual world indefinitely to pursue other goals, for I might not be here in the Blogosphere at all without her encouragement and support).

Finally, I'd like to bounce the award right back to Karen at Journey to Authenticity and Annie at A Spiritual Journey Through Life who (like Kara) have provided on-going encouragement and support on each of my blogs from the beginning.

To everyone I offer this brief but powerful video
May You Be Blessed

I've distributed other awards today at Small Reflections
and hope you'll visit there when time permits.

You're very welcome, storyteller--and thank you for giving it back! I also want to thank you for all the links you provide--I would miss so many great blogs if it weren't for you!

Eve and Dawn224 – I’m assuming you viewed and enjoyed the May You Be Blessed video. I felt it worth the time and have watched it more than once myself. I may add it to my sidebar with other “favorite links” for easy access because such blessings are wonderful to receive and to give.

Karen – I found it challenging to select just 10 bloggers the 1st time around especially since I did 5 on each blog. How fun to give it away to others when you returned it! I suspect you’ll enjoy doing so as well. I debated ignoring the “rules” and/or giving 10 on each blog, but that didn’t seem fair. After seeing Yolanda’s generosity at Perfectly Imperfect, I gave myself to be more generous with it myself at Small Reflections. I’m happy to know you enjoy the “introductory” links. I often visit folks listed in the Blogroll of people I enjoy reading and that’s how I meet new bloggers. It helps to have lots of discretionary time.

Thanks everyone … Have a delightful day and wonderful week.
Hugs and blessings,

Thanks so much. I really appreciate it. I am behind on blogging, but am hoping to make up for it tomorrow. I miss it when I don't get a chance to do it.

Thanks so much for passing this award along to me and posting it here. It is neat how you keep up with all your posts and awards and TT's and haiku Fri. etc. I wish I could do all you can but I just get a little overwhelmed and can't keep up. There are just so many blogs worth reading and so litle time as you are likely finding out.
have a great weekend too! We are still getting a storm here!

Sandy – Thanks as always. I don’t know how YOU manage everything you do. As for me … I do what I can and for the most part enjoy it all. Right now it’s challenging because I’m so far behind and I’m “under the weather” but this too shall pass, right?

Yertle – You’re so welcome. I’m glad we met through Haiku Friday (at least I think that’s how we met but my memory fails me some times) and it’s fun to have you visit often. Seems like you and Karen have also become blogging buddies and it’s great to see the connections forming & expanding in this virtual world. I’m happy to provide links to other bloggers I’ve enjoyed and hope you find them interesting too.

MoI – You’re quite welcome. I’ve wanted to do so for a while … ever since you first sent me the words and audio for your original song actually. Hope the storm passes quickly. Seems like you’ve had enough cold snowy weather already. As for keeping up … right now I’m not doing as well as I was, but I’m considering modifications to how I do things and cutting myself some slack. This last week was tougher than most but fun in it’s own way. I might have been able to keep up if I hadn’t undertaken such an obsessive approach to the 101 things meme at Small Reflections … but this IS the story of my life (in more ways than one). LOL

Hugs and blessings to you all!

Thank you so much Storyteller for your kindness in marking my blog as one you enjoy, the feeling is reciprocated. It's so nice to be connected with so many people the world over.

Peajay – I love the way Google lets me translate your Gaelic messages, expanding my knowledge and I appreciate the blessing in return. Like you, I’m delighted to connect with folks all over the world … all without leaving the comfort of home. I’m grateful to have found you through HGF and/or Talking Bear … I forget just now how that came about even though it’s been less than 4 months. How time flies! I hope you enjoy passing the award on to others and look forward to meeting more of YOUR blogging buddies.

Mike – It’s fairly simple to do. Put your cursor over the award and click on the RIGHT button. When the window pops up, choose SAVE IMAGE and decide where you want it to go on your computer (perhaps you’ll create a folder called Blog Awards in My Documents) … just be sure you can find it later. Wait until it’s downloaded and then go to the Layout page in Blogger … choose Add an Element … and wait for the popup window. Choose Add a Picture … “browse” your computer to find the saved Award File and once it’s done so click SAVE. The award should appear in your sidebar when next to view your blog.

To pass it along to others, begin to write a post as usual … click on the box to add a picture … wait for the popup window … on the left side browse your computer for the award … once you find it, click on Upload Picture and wait until it says Done. Click on that button and the award should be in the post. Type whatever you choose and publish the post.

Just relax and play with these directions. I made lots of mistakes before I figured it all out … but now it’s easy because I’ve had lots of practice. Feel free to ask questions if you get stuck.

I hope you both have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs and blessings,

I'm finally catching up here after all the viruses at my house! Glad you enjoyed your blessing and good to see you passing it on.

Claudia – You’re quite welcome and I’m always impressed with someone who can break rules as easily as you’re going to do with the Bloggin’ Blessing. Choosing just 3 people to pass it along to kept me up nights until I hit on the idea of giving it to folks who bring bloggers together in a worthwhile cause. I’m sure the Everyday Kindness members will be thrilled. Hmmm … as I type that I’m wondering if that means I’ll get it to pass along again? Twice? (chuckling as I type this now) I’ll have to think about that one awhile.

MPJ – I’m so happy to hear you’re feeling better. I just had that bug for about a week, but your family’s been under the weather for at least twice that time! I did enjoy receiving the blessing … found Udok’s site interesting … hope I receive his new blessing one of these days too. I’m wondering if you looked at the May You Be Blessed video and realize I intended to include it in yesterday’s Sacred Life Sunday post here, but may have overlooked it … so I’ll check that now before I forget again. Take care and have a delightful day.

Hugs and blessings to you both!
