HF #44 & OSI: Week 13 - Reflection

The prompt for Week 13: Reflection

Thanks to Scylla at Law & Motherhood for this cool Haiku button

Henningsen Gardens - Taos, New Mexico

Mirrored images
captured with my digital
camera ... I sat

on the bank & wrote
reflecting upon the week
filling pages with

memories & thoughts
with my pencil on the page
precursors of my

Small Reflections 'blog'
late October of last year ...
2007

in addition to
Sacred Ruminations. Now
each 'reflects' who I

am as I explore
a transition from 'closet
writer' to Blogger.

Gradually my
comfort level grows with each
piece I choose to share

and your responses
left in comments as you stop
by for a visit.

Mike – Finding this garden in Taos (within walking distance of the retreat center) delighted me … especially when I encountered a Chocolate Lab with a tennis ball … looking for someone to play with much as Molly does. I’ve a photo in the sidebar at Small Reflections of him.

Mariposa – Thanks for lovely the feedback on my reflective ‘Ku and photo ;--)

SandyCarlson – I so appreciate your supportive comments as I struggle with myself to share (rather than hide) what I write. I am gradually gaining some confidence & an increasing comfort level on each of my blogs … and that’s such a relief.

Raven – I found this spot near the Mable Dodge Luhan house in Taos quite inspiring last summer, and this week’s prompt seemed like the perfect opportunity to ‘reflect’ on my journey as a ‘blogger’ … while revisiting those memories.

I hope you’re each enjoying your weekend. Finding your comments here generated a smile on my face and warmth in my heart. I’m grateful …

I appreciate all your supportively encouraging comments so very much and sincerely apologize for being so SLOW to respond here. If I’ve not been to your blog recently, I’ll do my best to drop by today … though that said … I’m headed for Retired Ladies Lunch this morning no matter what because I need this ‘monthly connection’ with friends in the REAL world!

I hope all is well with you and yours … that your days are peace-filled and interesting every day.

wondering where the Hensington Gardens are! I stumbled upon your blog through my friend's gratitude journal blog - I think you left a comment there - enjoyed reading through your blog and seeing your lovely pics.....

Kierstenfigureski – Hensington Gardens is located next door to the historic Mabel Dodge Luhan House and Reteat Center in Taos, New Mexico where I attended a week-long Writers Retreat last summer. You might also enjoy a collage of other ‘garden photos’ I shared here shortly after this post. I've been learning to use Photoshop Elements and practicing new skills ... sharing as I go.

Thanks so much for dropping by Sacred Ruminations and I hope you'll visit again. I highly recommend the MDL Retreat Center as a vacation destination. You can find out more about it online.
