WW#37 - Have you seen this amazing love story?

ALMOST

I just saw this on the View this morning and found it amazing! Thought others might enjoy it too ;--)
In 1969 a couple found and raised a lion cub, but when it grew to be 185 lbs ... released it into the wild in Africa where the lion thrived ... creating a Pride of his own. This is the reunion no one believed could happen except the couple themselves.

The story has been verified by Snopes - Apparently, this lion, named Christian, really did show up mysteriously the day before the couple arrived to find him in Africa. You can read more about it at the Snopes link or here.

I've watched this a couple of times, and each time I can't help but cry. This is so beautiful.

I'm forwarding this off to everyone I know. Thank you so much for sharing this. I had to watch it twice...and cried both times. So amazing :)

I enjoyed that very much, Storyteller. Wow! Couldn't you just feel the lion's joy at seeing the two people who had rescued him as a cub?

I love that video and the look in the lion's eyes when he sees them!

So here it is. I'm sobbing. I'm bawling as I type. I was wiping away the tears as I watched it fearing I would miss a single second. This is by far the best post I've seen in my blogging experience. I'm not kidding. I'm so glad you posted it. I'm so happy and know that animals are like this no matter what any human thinks. They know us and love us till they die, even if they're wild.

God bless you friend for seeing such a beautiful story and sharing with the world.

*hugs and blessings* to you.

Karen – It had a similar affect on me when I looked at it. The amazing thing is that I’d never heard of it before.

Sandy (of Momisodes) – I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who hadn’t seen it, and think it’s wonderful that you plan to share it with others as well.

Joyce – You’re quite welcome. Yes … the lion did seem joyful at the reunion to me.

Lisa – It’s all rather marvelous, isn’t it?

Sandy Carlson – I agree and am happy to share.

Tina – I’m delighted you found it to be so.

Empress Bee (of the High Sea)
I see what you mean, but I think the lion is young (just two years old) and I don’t think the males grow the bushy mane until they’re older.

Chuck – Thanks for your effusive praise. When I posted the piece I wondered if everyone knew about it but me. Now I see I wasn’t alone. I’m glad you emailed me for the link because I discovered a second video of the same event set to different music and shared that too.

Stacy (Mama-Om) - You’re very welcome.

To all – I appreciate you dropping by and sharing your reactions to this story and video. Hope you’re all having a fantastic Friday!
Hugs and blessings,
