PhotoHunt#9 and The Road Trip of Your Life

Note: If you're looking for Sky Watch or Haiku Friday you'll find them below this post. Camera Critters & Smiley Saturday are at Small Reflections.

Theme: Support
My new office chair provides more support
than the old one pictured below:

The Road Trip of Your Life

You see life as a journey you must take alone. Independence and individuality are primary to you.
I'm not sure I think I must take the journey alone, but I am comfortable doing so when necessary to accomplish my goals.

You live a life of leisure. You take your time in every aspect of life and enjoy it to the fullest.
This IS certainly true of life for me these days. Being 'happily retired' is a blessing I savor.

You're willing to take a few risks in life. You may not take the road no one travels, but you're happy to take the road less traveled. This is certainly true. I'm more likely to travel small country roads when I have a companion than when I'm traveling alone.

Eh, work is not really for you. You're all about playtime! You'll work if you have to, but you really don't like it. Once upon a time, I enjoyed my work as a teacher ... but it's wonderful to have leisure time now to do what I choose.

You could have owned an indie bookstore or boutique in another life. I've often thought it would be fun to run a used bookstore in a small community and used to think I might actually do that. Now, however, I'm content as things are ...

The Road Trip Test
I invite you to take this test and share your results
if you so choose ... either in comments below
or on your blog, but please leave me
a link so I can read them ;--)

I wanted to leave you a comment on Camera Critters but couldn't find a place to do so! Lovely cat, but what I specifically like is the water bird with 4 chicks on her back! That one is capital!
Thank you for your visit.

The new chair does look comfy, but the old chair looks as though it has been very faithful.

I love the giraffe photo above. I am not certain I want a kiss with quite that much tongue!

Reader Wil – Visiting was my pleasure. I’m glad you found your way here from there to leave a comment. Actually, the comment box is in the same place on both blogs … at the bottom of the post.

Teena in Toronto – It’s much more comfy than the older one ;--)

Pretty Life Online – Thanks … and I did make it over to your blog (and many others) before Molly and I went for an evening walk.

JMB – Yup … a BIG step up, but I’m worth it … and now I can blog in greater comfort! LOL

Tamy – I love seeing the many directions folks take the theme each week.

EllenB – Thanks! I’m about to call it a night and turn off the computer … read a while to unwind.

Quilly – There’s really nothing wrong with the old chair … but it has no arms and no lumbar support. Seemed like I was ready for both at this point. I found the giraffe photo at Flickzzz and fell in love with it immediately, but only put it at the top of this blog a couple of weeks ago … when I added the duck photo (also from Flickzzz) to the top of my other blog.

To all – I’m delighted you each found time to drop by and share your thoughts. It’s fun to find comments when I return to the computer after doing something else for a while. I hope you’re all having a pleasant weekend.
Hugs and blessings,

Good choice on theme - Made me chuckle thinking how many of the bloggers were making theme posts in some old worn out desk chair

Good work

Wow! That's a nice seat, I'm a physical therapist and I can not emphasize enough the importance of using a seat that provides appropriate support! :)

I love that you used your chair for the theme support. Congrats on getting it.

I just did the blogthing and posted it on my blog. How fun!

Wow! That is a super nice chair!
Looks like it will be a really good support as well as comfy.

I enjoyed your "Road Trip" post. What a good idea to post your commentary of the results after the test results.

Hope you have a lovely day. :)

Marcia – How interesting. This chair doesn’t recline at all and rocks only minimally … though it does swivel and roll easily. So far so good!

Frances – ‘Twas my pleasure to visit. At the time I received the old chair, I was sitting at the computer on either a folding or kitchen chair … so I remember being thrilled to receive it though I thought the color odd even then.

Baker Watson – Thanks! Your image made me chuckle too as I wondered how many of those same bloggers went out and bought a more comfy& ‘supportive’ chair for themselves. LOL

Philos – Having been raised by a Dutch mom with a (waste not, want not philosophy),I’m delighted to have the validation from a ‘professional’ that my money was well spent! Thanks so much! The difference is truly amazing and I wish I’d done it long ago.

Yertle – I’d intended to use a different idea, but this one seemed too perfect to pass up. Thanks for playing along with the Road Trip Quiz. I appreciate the linky-love and found your results of interest.

Sue – I’m glad you think so. Let me encourage you to get one sooner rather than later. I certainly wish I had.

Cats~Goats~Quotes – Yup … I didn’t go for the cheapest, nor the most expensive. I sat in the all … gradually narrowing down the choices until I found the most comfortable one, and that’s what I bought.

Joyce – I’m glad you enjoyed both the Quiz and the commentary. I discovered this was possible some time ago on a quiz or blogthing that gave me really strange results that I almost tossed out. The results in this one were fairly accurate with some minor changes.

To all – I’m happy to report that (after sitting in my chair to ‘blog’ for several hours over the last three days), the new chair is marvelously supportive & comfy. If your chair is old and uncomfortable in any way, let me encourage YOU to do likewise. Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful week.

I took the test and am commenting on my results on my blog. I usually hate these tests, but this one was closer to accurate than any I've taken so far.

Of course, everyone is so much more complex than these quizzes and their results, which is why I generally avoid them unless they come with the right recommendation.

Momisodes said...

Such a great choice! That chair looks incredibly comfy :) The other one too, but probably more so a few years ago.

Sisyphesse – How fun! I’ll be over in a little while to see you results. I’m fairly discerning about which quizzes I’ll answer and what results I’ll share, but some interesting discussions sometimes emerge from the sharing of such blogthings and quizzes … and that’s a good thing.

Sandy – Oh … I love my new chair almost as much as I’m enjoying my new computer … wondering why it took me so long to purchase both!

Thanks to both of you for dropping and sharing your thoughts. I hope you’ve enjoyed your Monday as much as I have.

well said & a good point to ponder on. mmm.

Stev – Thanks for the feedback … and ‘ponder away’ … As for the rest, I’m VERY happy with MY new chair … and highly recommend Staples where I found it. They delivered it to my door the next day (free of charge) and it went together easily w/o tools. It’s so much more comfy than my old one ;--)

Thanks for dropping by. I’m having Blogger issues this morning so I don’t know if this will publish or not, but I’m hoping for the best.
