SkyWatch#6 & HF#62 Sunrise ... on a cloudy day

My first Sky Watch is at Small Reflections. Thanks to Scylla at Law & Motherhood for this cool Haiku button

One morning while I
sat upon my patio
under scattered clouds

I looked up and this
view caused me to reach for my
camera and snap
a few pictures for
Sky Watch Friday ... I have shared
photographs before
of my usual
sunrise view and to compare
... those photos are here.

Click for others participating in Sky Watch this week at its new home.

For others participating in Haiku Friday this week go to A Mommy Story or Playgroups are no Place for Children. (To see my previous Haikus, click on the Haiku Friday label below this post or in the sidebar under About Me where you'll find a 'directory' of my Haikus on both blogs).

The texture if the clouds grabs my attention immediately - this is a glorious view of the sky.

Very pretty skies! I've seen lots of these types of clouds in pictures today, must have been a common cloud coverage this week. Very pretty!

These are beautiful shots! I love the way you captured the sun behind the clouds!

The clouds almost look like old quilting cotton. There is an unusual depth/denseness and texture them.

Hey there Ms. Story Teller, your sky is a very nice after sunrise view. Your sky is like our Gulf Coast sky, misted over with a low cloud bank until the Sun can burn it off.
Thank you for pointing me here, but I did like your other post as well. Aren't those Rockies nice!
I don't have the nerve or patience to do Haiku yet although I used to like writing a few other poems.

This looks wintry to me. It just has the illusion of cool and is nice on these hot days.

The clouds actually make me think of sea foam...so unusual...so beautiful!

To all – I appreciate each of you visiting my HaikuFriday/SkyWatch ‘Sunrise on a Cloudy Day’ this past weekend and apologize for being slow to respond here. I think I’ve visited each of your blogs in the past few days and left comments there, but I like to respond here as well … preferably individually … but when crunched for time, I leave a more general comment like this one. Thanks for your feedback on my photos. I do believe I’m learning more about taking better pictures all the time by visiting each of you. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are enjoying a wonderful week.
Hugs and blessings,
