Haiku Sky Watch Friday - Camera Critters too

HF#142 - Sky Watch#54
This is my 68thMisty Dawn started the meme and explains the rules here

Standing on the pier
last weekend I noticed these
pelicans in flight.

Seven ... then just five

soaring together in this

v-shaped formation.

I could not resist
filtering a few of these
pictures ... just because.

On the left untouched
photos as they came from my

the views just a bit.

His bill will hold more than his belican.
He can take in his beak
Food enough for a week,
But I'm damned if I see how the helican."

I'm always in awe of the formations they make in the sky. I love them all against that brilliant blue sky.

Very cool showing the difference in before and after.

Nice shots. When I last saw pelicans flying around I did notice that they seemed to do so in numbers like this. I see it wasn't just a fluke.

Nice capture. Seven, then five? Hmmmm - did some get lost or just decide to go fishing?

50. That´s how many pelicans there were in total. Sometimes I like to count.

What beautiful shots of the gulls in the sky. I usually only see them one at a time. You have some large groups to see.

I dearly love pelicans. Reminds me of when we lived on Galveston Island and we had pelicans in our "backyard" ... living on the water was great. Thanks for the memories!
