Wings and Words

Haiku Friday

It's been quite a while
since I've participated
in OSI, but

in this new decade
I intend to mend my ways
... so when I read the

prompt of 'wings' I thought
first of birds up in the skies
like the ones below

then remembered these
wings on a moose my sister
found while traveling

so it's more than one
single impression I share ...
hoping that's okay ;-)

Click mosaics to embiggen for better viewing
and for others participating in
One Single Impression
Wordful Wednesday at Seven Clown Circus

and Haiku Friday too ;-)

Thought for Today
"The golden moments in the stream of life rush past us and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone." George Eliot

That moose is FANTASTIC!

This reminds me that bird and moose both were created by God. One is beautiful and can fly and one is rather ugly and rather ponderous to me. Nevertheless, they are equal in value. I love your George Eliot thought for today!!!

Wonderful post! And that is why it is so important to be kind to strangers because we might well be entertaining angels unaware! :-)

Wow, again great photos! Love the mosaic effect and really would love to know how you did it. =)

That moose...adorable!! I love it. I have lots of bears and moose in my home (purely decorative of course - ha ha!)

Have a great day!

Love the theme of your post. I do believe in Angels, but unlike some I do acknowledge their presence. I'm your newest follower. hope you can find time to stop by me.

A moose angel is a funny and would make an interesting cartoon character I think.

Thanks for your supportive words left on loose leaf notes recently.

It's been a long time since I've seen wings on moose, but they are very attractive! :) I love the shots of colorful sky that surround those strong wings overhead.

Your impressions are very, very welcome. And oh so beautiful.

That was quite a find! I do think this is the Joe Camel character who smoked Camel cigarettes reincarnated into a moose/camel angel after he was killed by the FTC.

I am glad you wrote on the prompt as I had been missing you. Welcome back.
