Of Flowers, Critters, and Blessings ...

Scroll down for Camera Critters & Pet Pride

1. Every day my garden looks lovelier. The most of the pansies I planted in February are doing well ... only a few look like this:

2. Molly & Layla watch each other over the fence like this often.

3. After spending several hours on the phone with Dell's Tech Support on Thursday afternoon, things are looking up. If you missed them & care to fill in the blanks, I shared the details at the end of Friday's post at Small Reflections. The Inspiron 1720 hasn't crashed to the Blue Screen of Death in two days ... hooray!

4. The promised 'replacement keyboard' arrived in Friday's mail (talk about quick) and typing is smooth once again with no sticky keys. Amazing what a relief this is. I'll drop off the old one at FedEx later today or on Monday.

5. As promised, 'Vinnie' from Dell Tech Support called me to follow up ... unfortunately before I'd had a chance to use the laptop much because his Sunday is my Saturday. He'll call again NEXT Friday which should give me time to check things out, get the D-Link router working (or replace it with a LinkSys router) and have Time Warner Cable 'reset' their modem for the 'wireless' connection rather than the 'direct' connection I've been using for a week or so.

6. We've had lots of 'moody skies' and occasional rain over the past week ... but no heavy rains so that's a relief for those living in the areas burned by wildfires last Fall. I enjoyed watching crows gather twigs in the tree across the street as I photographed the changing skies to share in yesterday's Sky Watch and a few more today.

7. I enjoyed Friday's 'Windows Movie Maker' class at Adult School. We used the instructor's 'train' images and sounds to create our first one together but we're supposed to bring our own photos to use next Friday so I'll be gathering images together this week.
If time permits, I'll play with the first one to see if I can upload it to one of my blogs as an experiment. I hope to use what I've learned to create my own 'inspirational videos' to share in the future.

8. Amazingly (after receiving another 'denial letter' on Wednesday) ... Friday's mail contained an acceptance letter & payment coupon book from United Health Care for my Plan D 'prescription' coverage, so all I need to do now is set up auto pay for it (and my Anthem Blue Cross Senior supplemental plan for Medicare) then contact my former employer for a 'refund' for February's health coverage. Guess it's a good thing I didn't have time to call about this when the denial arrived Wednesday ;-)

I'm so glad that both your computer and insurance problems are finally resolving! Love your quote about life and rowing. Edgar Allen Poe would be loving today's post, I'm thinking! Gloomy skies and crows. The next best thing to ravens!

I think I managed to get lost in this post! It's funny how the two dogs eye one another over the fence! Badly behaving computers are such a hassle! And yet we persevere because they are now a basic ingredient in our lives! Glad the problems are slowly sorting out!

I wish I'd have remembered to plant some pansies. Life was just too busy at the right time. :)
Glad to hear the computer problems are getting taken take of. It's always a hastle when things don't work right.
We just got Movie Maker. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet and will probably need someone to show me the ropes. Looking forward to seeing how you do.

I like the idea of "moody" skies, though I admit I've enjoyed my sunny ones! Glad both your Dell and your Medicare are handled.

Hello: Thanks for sharing your spring mosiac. It will be a few months yet for us in Ontario to see our plants at that stage. I can hardly wait.
I have made a few movies with Windows MovieMaker using my photos and adding some music. They are amateurish but fun to do. Keep us posted on your progress. Valerie

Can't wait to see pansies in our garden centers! Good luck with Dell. We had so much trouble with our last 2 Dells we switched brands.

Thank you, friend, for stopping by my blog for a visit.

I especially enjoyed your photos of crows on this visit to Sacred Ruminations; they are such intelligent, enterprising birds, always busy or up to mischief!

Take care! <3

Just how cute are Molly and Layla? Very!

And I love your pansies.

We've had odd weather of late, and I think it's due to be odder this week.

Those crows remind me of four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie! LOL!

XO,

Sheila :-)
