Really Good Things

1. I enjoyed Retired Ladies Lunch on Monday and spending the afternoon shopping with a friend afterward without spending much money at all. It's a relief to know I can exercise such fiscal restraint, finally ;--)

2. Spending quality time with Molly and taking her to Dog Beach to play on Friday morning feels good. Now that the weather is warmer, we'll be able to do this more often together.

Clicking on the collage will enlarge the photos ;--)
3. Devoting time over several days to pruning, weeding, watering and photographing flowers in my front yard all seem like worthy accomplishments.

4. Learning more about Word 7 at Adult School is nifty and I love using the Photoshop Elements skills I learned last year to create collages like the ones in this post to share the photographs I've taken with my new Nikon D60.

5. I had a wonderful phone conversation this morning with my Taos Writers Retreat Buddy and found myself revisiting my early posts here at Sacred Ruminations ... and I'm surprised by what's there ... pretty much undiscovered by anyone. Perhaps I'll share some of those early posts again sometime in the future ... just because.

Weeding, watering & working in my yard this past week I heard repeatedly from passers by how much like EASTER my garden looks and what a joy to see it is each day. I feel blessed to grow and share blossoms and fruit with friends, neighbors & visitors. If you missed either of these Spring Awards previously, please feel free to snag, enjoy, & share with others ... just because.

"I think of the garden after the rain;
And hope to my heart comes singing,
At morn the cherry-blooms will be white,
And the Easter bells be ringing!"

It's good to feel healthy again! I've moved my March sidebar Gratitude list to Happily Retired Gal and started my April list at Small Reflections. Taking time each day to add something to the list keeps me paying attention to the everyday blessings I encounter.

My sister and her husband left for Alaska on Wednesday so I should have more time for blogging in the days & weeks ahead, but I suspect it will take considerable time to catch up. I'll do what I can as time & energy permit.

I've enjoyed creating collages to share on each of my blogs look forward to doing more of the same with the many photographs I've taken over the past few weeks.

In closing, on this Palm Sunday, I submit for your viewing this brief video clip from Simple Truths
... One Solitary Life.
