Although I've not spent much time blogging the past few weeks, I'm healthy again finally. I've had energy to spend lots of time with my sister. That's been great since she'll be leaving for Alaska next week and probably won't return until December. I've also started evening Adult Ed classes from 6-9 pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays to learn the features of Word 7. My yard is more colorful all the time and I continue to take lots of photographs as I learn more about my Nikon D60.
This is my very first daffodil & yellow iris bud this year!

Thought for Today
"Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars... and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers - for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are." Osho

Watery Wednesday #1 - Photos from HB Pier

This is my 1st ...
Three recent views from the
pier in Huntington Beach, California
'Surf City' USA
If I'd had my Tamron 28-300mm lens that day instead of the basic Nikon D60 18-55mm lens, I'd have captured a better view of the whale in the 3rd photo. Live & learn ;--)

My World #2 - (and a bit of catch up too)

Belatedly ... here's my BYBS post
"Don't let yesterday use up too much of today."

1. Although it's frustrating to be sick, I'm grateful for time & opportunity to rest this past week as my body battles the bug within. Of course, I've fallen behind on most everything ... but I'm hopeful I'll be my energetic healthy self again soon. Molly's certainly ready for that too!

2. My garden continues to bloom so when I drag myself to the warmth of the patio out front (usually with camera close by) and plop myself down in those blue 'mock' Adarandak chairs, I have lovely flowers and interestingly changing skies to look at.

3. If I'm feeling well enough, tomorrow's plans include lunch with my sister and good friend followed by another camera class at Ritz. I'm delighted with all I've learned from attending previous classes and look forward to learning even more about using the features of my Nikon D60 & Tamron 28-300mm lens.

Really Good Things

1. I enjoyed having time this week to sort through my 'wetlands' photographs from a couple of weeks ago and create some collages like the one above to share.

2. I'm relieved to know there's nothing wrong with my new Tamron lens after all!

3. Giving and receiving feedback in Thursday evening's writers workshop is a blessing.

4. The flowers in my yard are lovely and the weather this past week exceptionally pleasant!

5. We celebrated my sister's birthday last night after the Nikon camera class at Ritz ... sharing a salad and a pizookie at BJs as we did for MY birthday last month.
