Simple Things

A Thought for Today

"Too often
we underestimate the power
of a touch,
a smile,
a kind word,
a listening ear,
an honest compliment,
or the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential
to turn a life around."
~Leo Buscaglia

This is absolutely true. When I first came to this city, I was so depressed and lonely. On two occasions very small gestures by strangers lifted me back up and gave me the strength to carry on another day.

I'm happy that you found strength through the kindness of strangers when you felt alone :)

We must be on similar wavelengths. I wondered if anyone would notice :)

What a beautiful (and true) thought. I have always admired Leo Buscaglia--he was a man who truly seemed to know how to love people.
