(Almost) WW/OSI - Warm Sunsets

ALMOST

(This is #27 for me)

The prompt for Week 11 - Warm

Beautiful Sunsets
over oceans ... glorious
warmly colored skies

arid desert scenes
as the day draws to an end
warmly colored skies

amazingly bright
vivid oranges, pinks & reds
warmly colored skies

everywhere on earth
marvelous remembrances ...
warmly colored skies!

One Single Impression
Wordless Wednesday

Thought for Today
"Come watch with me the shaft of fire that glows
In yonder West: the fair, frail palaces,
The fading Alps and archipelagoes,
And great cloud-continents of sunset-seas."

Beautiful photos... I especially like the second and the last haikus. Love that cactus photo.

Beautiful words and images. Thank you for inspiring me to look deeper for the beauty that surrounds us wherever we are.

I've posted my WW contribution here and hope you can drop by and say hi:

Vixen – Thanks and I wish you a ‘warm’ Wednesday too ;--)

Karen – I’m always on the lookout for ‘inspiring images’ to use for the various poetry activities I enjoy. I’m glad you enjoyed them today.

Vhiel – I appreciate your visit and the links you’ve left. I’ll visit in a little while.

Raven – Thanks for the specific feedback. I decided to experiment by repeating the same line in each haiku today and I’m not sure I’m ‘thrilled’ with the results, but I have no time to ‘rethink’ them currently so I’ll let them stand … as is (at least for now).

Carmi – The pleasure of sharing is mine … and I’m delighted you found this (almost) wordless OSI post ‘inspiring’ today. Thanks for leaving the link to yours.

I hope you’re all having a wonderful Wednesday. Thanks so much for visiting and sharing your thoughts today ;--)

Love the nature pictures you have shown here today. Beautiful. Did you write the poetry?

Sunsets seem to be everyone's favourites indeed.

storyteller said...

Betty – Yep! Poetry is mine … photos are ‘found’ and shared ;--)

Lori – Thanks. I found the images on Photobucket. If you click on them you’ll go to the sources ;--)

Spacedlaw – Really? I do hate to be predictable, but such is life I suppose. I used a different ‘take’ at Small Reflections ;--)

Thanks to each of you for visiting and sharing your thoughts. I’m off to my 2nd Photoshop class in a little while but am trying to respond to comments before I take Molly for a walk and get myself ready to go. I hope you have a delightful day.

Whoever says there is nothing in the desert has never looked. Gorgeous pipe organs.

storyteller said...

Gardenpath – Thanks for your visit and your observations.

Annie – Amen to that! I wish I could take credit for more that ‘finding’ the photos. Only the Haiku are ‘mine’ ;--)

I’ve enjoyed finding your comments here and visiting your blogs in turn. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.

last one's my favorite, there's always a warm place on earth, loves those sky shots

Lissa – I loved them all for different reasons, but if I had to choose one, I’d probably agree with you. Thanks for visiting and sharing your thoughts. I’m often ‘late to the OSI party’ with my posts … but I do enjoy writing to these prompts then seeing what others do with them. There’s always such variety … and yours about ‘yellow shoes’ still makes me smile ;--)
