1. The roses in my garden seem to LOVE the odd overcast weather this summer ... they're looking healthier than ever and blooming up a storm. These are Mr. Lincoln's straight out of the camera.

2. I've really enjoyed having my sister back in town for a few weeks before they leave mid-September for another Alaskan cruise & more RV traveling. We spent two days together this week
... Tuesday just 'hanging out' and visiting while we ran errands (getting things done) and (after a productive morning at home yesterday) we enjoyed the afternoon together ... ending the day eating fish tacos at Duke's in the Barefoot Bar by the HB Pier ... DELICIOUS day & dinner! We're going to spend 6 days together next week in Phoenix while attending an exciting event there. This was an unusual cloud formation she captured while we were driving.

3.
I've signed up for a Festival of Change at Online Clarity. It's ... "a celebration and exploration of how we align ourselves with the flow of change -- simply, naturally, and with a deeper, richer awareness" ... and participated 'virtually' in another event last week: A Call to conscious Evolution: Our Moment of Choice at Royce Hall of the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles.

4. After resisting 'smart phones' for years, I'm a believer at last and love my new Palm Pre Plus. Each day I'm surprised as I learn something new this little gem can do and become more skilled at using its features. At 'free' (except for sales tax) at Verizon Online ... the price felt too perfect to resist. I still don't 'text' ... but it's kewl to have my calendar, useful apps, email & the Internet at my fingertips wherever I go.

I've even learned to change my wallpaper to be a photo of the 2010 group from Taos ... shared yesterday at Small Reflections along with some photos of the grounds around the Mabel Dodge Luhan House and my August Gratitude List.

5. I'm writing daily Just for the JOY of it ... feeling excited about prospects for publishing & beginning to explore marketing possibilities in the service of others ... gaining clarity & focus each day!

The color red of that rose is just beautiful!

I've been wanting a smart phone for a while, we'll see. I really want an iPhone though :)

The roses are gorgeous! I have an older smartphone and love it. Hubby wants to upgrade me into an iphone at some point.

Brenda and Momma24,
I have a Mac friend with an iPhone and she loves it, but she was impressed with some things my Palm Pre Plus will do that her iPhone won't. Of course, she's not ready to get rid of her favorite toy any time soon!

Thanks for dropping by ...

Congratulations on the palm and all the gadgets, I'm not there yet can't even retrieve a message on a cell phone.

Your roses are wonderful, the colour is so brilliant.

enjoyed your posts everywhere! Thanks for sharing. Happy to have the update on your sis -- we are in our sixth week of our roadtrek roadtrip -- still alive and well .

Thanks to each of you for your visit and comments ...

Suzanne - I'm glad you enjoyed my Mr. Lincoln roses and appreciate your good wishes for the trip I'll be taking soon with my sister.

Cindy - I love the photo of you in your beautiful red hat and am reminded it's been a while since I've donned one of mine. I recall when retrieving messages on my cell phone seemed difficult. Currently the one part of my smart phone that gives me trouble is using the phone itself, but I'm getting the hang of it gradually ... sharing laughter with others as I make multiple blunders.

Sallie - Good to know you're back on the road enjoying your travels. I appreciate your visits on each of my blogs and wish I had your email address to respond to the questions you ask. Actually, you're the reason I've started to respond in the 'comments' area again as I did in the early days of blogging ... but I have no idea whether you ever SEE my responses. Stay safe and happy on the road!

Perhaps one day life will slow down enough to permit me to visit blogs again. For now I'm in transition ... making changes bit by bit doing the best I can and declaring myself 'satisfied' at the end of each day ... just because.
Hugs and blessings,
