Haiku Friday #98 - Sky Watch #22 Rainy Daze

Earlier today
Happily Retired Gal
shared a 'rain' collage

with another 'ku

about stormy weather in
my beach neighborhood ...

here more skies appear
in a dif'rent collage with
variable skies

(Click to embiggen the collage for better viewing)

Raindrops cling to the
lemons on my tree ... Molly
hoping for a friend

to visit & play.
Weary of staying inside
during the rainstorm.

Funny how this 'lab'
water-loving pooch avoids
raindrops at all costs

but will romp in surf
and lie down in puddles she
finds. I think it's odd

but I understand
it's quite common among her
canine relatives.

See my other Haiku Sky Watch post & collage
at Happily Retired Gal today.

in Sky Watch & Haiku Friday this week.

Very nice & different - I really like the collage!!!

LOL! That is too funny :) I suppose having water fall uncontrollably on top of you is scarier ;)

I love the collage and sky shots!

I love the collage and the poem. I too had a lab who refused rain but loved water that was already lying there. As I read your delightful poem I had the thought that dogs like to choose their water rather than be subjected to it. Bath time was no thrill for my pup, either!

I can smell the lemons of your poem, my friend. Thank you for these warm and refreshing images.

Interesting Haiku about rain and a dog with one of my favorite names.

The reflection of the palm tree on the wet sidewalk is my favorite in your collage. It typifies warm, non-gloomy California rains for me. :)

Beautiful sky and I love the palm trees. Makes me think that I could really use a warm vacation. Thanks for sharing.

I love Haiku, but alas I cannot write it.

Your beautiful sky shots make a cool collage.
I'm looking our the window at heaps of snow, then looking back at your palm trees.

Quite a contrast!

My eye was immediately drawn to the pic of the lemons--oh how I envy you that lemon tree! I've thought about trying to grow one inside, but we really don't get much sun in the house, plus, I'd have to pollinate it myself--I guess I'll just have to content myself with your photos!

Lovely photos -- and I envy the lemon tree! (Now I have Peter, Paul and Mary stuck in my head!)
