What's on my mind today ...

Herein are my Morning Musings

1. It seems I've reached my 'upload' limit with Blogger so I'll have to become 'wordy' or pay to add additional pictures ... though when this happened once before I deleted some pictures from past posts, and I suppose I could do that again. I know others who have simply started new blogs when this happened to them, so that's another possibility. I do have this image uploaded already ... looking UP while walking on Balboa over the weekend. The weather was beautiful and I shared photos taken on that walk on Saturday at Small Reflections and yesterday at Happily Retired Gal (along with my January Gratitude list).

2. The rain predicted for yesterday didn't materialize and apparently the first storm headed our way has dissipated a bit ... so we may not get rain until Thursday through Saturday. Perhaps I'll get the flat of pansies in the ground today after all. Methinks the soil is no longer soggy from the last series of storms so this may be the perfect opportunity. You may recognize this flat from a couple of weeks ago ... purchased just before the skies opened and the rain fell for a LONG time ;-)

3. How kewl ... I was able to copy and paste the pansy collage (and the Nikon images) from a previous post into the editor. Hopefully Blogger will allow me to publish this post when I finish composing it.

4. While at the camera class on Saturday, I asked one of the instructors about a 'jiggle' I've noticed (after having the 'cleaning' performed) when turning on the Nikon D60 (with the original lends) and was told that there's something wrong with the 'vibration stabilization' unit ... so I guess I'll need to bring the camera and lens back to the shop to have it checked out. Maybe I'll only need to leave the lens? I really don't want to be without my camera again ... though I suspect I'll manage as I did before. I do have LOTS of unpublished photos in my archives ... of course I won't be able to share them on my Blogger sites until I do something about being over my 'quota' ... Such is life!

4. I've copied and pasted images from Blogger to my WordPress site ... I wonder if I could reverse that to add more images here?

5. Hmmm ... so far so good. guess I'll see what happens when I press publish. I do love the Bird of Paradise plant and can't resist taking photos whenever I see one in bloom. This image is from Friday's Balboa Island walk and I think it's lovely and colorful ... and here's another shot for Martha's Color Carnival ... delicious looking too ;-)

7. Molly's letting me know it's time to walk ... so methinks I'll stop here and see if Blogger will let me publish this post with the added images.

randomtuesdayHope YOU have a delightful day ;-)

I didn't even know there was an upload limit. Learned something new today.

Unlike you, I have no interest in photography classes. I'm a point-and-shoot guy. Everything on full automatic.

I am like Matty, I was not aware of an upload limit. Do they suddenly stop letting u upload until u pay??

I didn't know you could copy and paste images from one blog to another. The Bird of Paradise and colorful candy images are stunning!

The bird of paradise plant is lovely! And I do so enjoy pansies. When I was a child, we had one big planyer of them on each side of our porch steps. But now I'm horrified!! I had no idea that blogspot had a photo limit! I've known people who have had blogs for years and years and are still O.K. Where did you find out about this? What is the deal with it?

Regarding uploading pictures
When you upload photos, you see a message that tells you what percentage of your image space you've used. Mine currently says:
"You are currently using 1023MB (99%) of your 1024MB". I guess it would have been wise to keep my eye on this all along, but (alas) I didn't and now I'm 'out of space' and unless I 'free up space' (by deleting images) I'll need to pay to increase my limit. Methinks it's pretty inexpensive but I'm not sure about the 'logistics' of making payment. I'll letcha know when I learn more.
Hugs and blessings,

Hmmmm - I have never heard of the Blogger upload limit. I have never seen any message about my image space. I'll have to investigate. Hope you get the pansies planted and your camera doesn't need a lot of further tinkering at the shop.

Good post and photographs. I got around the blogger limit. That limit is only for picsa but you can get another free account at photobucket and put the links into your post and the photographs show up. That's what I do. I just paste in the link they give you for putting photographs on blogs or websites and my shots show up. It's only a little more trouble than uploading them via blogger which automatically puts them in picsa.

I love the bird-of-paradise shots and the pansies too. Two such contrasting flowers -- one so tropical and showy and the other kind of shy and unassuming but so cheering -- lovely colors all through this post.

The Bird of Paradise plant is GORGEOUS!! (I don't think I've ever seen one in real life!) And I had no idea there were limits with Blogger! I hope you can get that worked out!

It looks as if you have found a work-around to the Blogger limit. I worry about the rate at which I am using my Blogger space. I'm sorry to hear about the problems with your camera's lens. I hope it can be quickly fixed.

Colorful pictures, it makes me happy.
There is a limit to the Picasa album. When you make a new google account and sign yourself in as a second administrator of your own blog you will get a new album. Off course do not remove your old username but you have to sign in with the new account and the new pictures will be stored in the new album. Ahummmm I hope this make sense, lol.

I wonder how many photos it takes to reach the limit! But I guess you have been blogging since 2007. :)
