Sacred Life Sunday - Seven Really Good Things

I'm counting my blessings today
feeling grateful for my real world and 'virtual' activities

1. As many of you know from previous posts here and at Small Reflections, Spring arrived a couple of months ago here in Southern California ... and this weekend it feels like SUMMER with temperatures in the mid 80s here at the beach and mid 90s a few miles inland. If you missed my garden posts the most recent ones are: Joyful Burst of Color, Colorful Spring Flowers, and A Colorful Offering

2. With Hootin' Anni's assistance, I was able to get this blog added to the Bloggers Over 50 Blogroll by adding the Official Logo and a link in the sidebar here. I've not yet visited all the folks on that Blogroll yet, but I have made some interesting connections in the past few weeks. If you're looking to expand your online connections, there are many excellent bloggers out there and you don't need to be over 50 to read their blogs.

3. I've enjoyed several 'fun reads' ...(as in 'real' books)... and that helps explain why I've not been visiting your blogs as often lately. I'm currently reading David Baldacci's latest in the series about Oliver Stone & friends entitled STONE COLD ;--)

4. Greatfullivin of Gratitude Journal shared this award recently, and I'd like to pass it along to some friends (both old and new) who 'Make My Day' by commenting on my posts here ... including (but not limited to): Sacred Life Sunday, One Single Impression, and Haiku Friday. I appreciate you all so very much! Feel free to snag yourself a copy to enjoy and pass along to others.

5. Although I've cut back posting here at Sacred Ruminations, I've discovered one 'new' activity I intend to add to my repetoire here once a month ... and that's Pensieve's Poetic License. I did 'double duty' this week with Friday's Spring Haiku post and met many interesting bloggers who participate monthly. At Small Reflections, I've discovered Fun Monday, Heads or Tails and Unconscious Mutterings ... among others.

6. Just this morning Phyl of Scrappy and Happy in Ohio placed this lovely new award in the Blogosphere ...

I'd like to share it with the following friends:

Andrée at meeyauw's Barton Daily Photo
Joyce at Mom's Musings
Lucy
at Diamonds in the Sky and Lucy Creates
Karen at Journey to Authenticity
Mama Zen at The Zen of Motherhood
Greatfullivin
of Gratitude Journal
Mother of Invention at Spilling Out!
MPJ at A Room of Mama's Own
Sandy Carlson at Writing in Faith
Yertle
at Smile, Play, Dream
Yolanda at Perfectly Imperfect

I'll be sharing it with others at
Small Reflections
soon ;--)

7. In addition to gratefully accepting awards and adding them to my sidebars (along with my 'Bling' collection) ... I've tried to create a handy series of 'links' in the About Me section of each blog to help new readers find posts of interest and get acquainted more easily.

Thank you so much for the lovely award, Friend! I must visit Phyl's blog; I don't believe I've met her yet.

Hope you are having a blessed Sunday. :)

Joyce – You’re certainly welcome … and I’m sure Phyl would love to have you visit. I did have a lovely Sunday, and hope you did as well.

Olivia – I’m happy to spread the word about this wonderful group of Bloggers Over 50 hosted by Hootin’ Anni! I discovered them earlier this year and have made some fun connections … and there are still more blogs for me to explore when time permits.

Robin – It’s my pleasure to ‘share’ good things when I encounter them … and I’m delighted to have discovered you and Poetic License through the Fun Monday meme you hosted a couple of weeks back. I enjoyed playing along at Small Reflections … and am planning to participate in Nekked Lizard’s challenge later this morning on my other blog.

Mike – Just click on the ‘Memory Mints’ link in my sidebar here (or Bloggers Over 50 in my sidebar at Small Reflections) and follow the directions there. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this group as much as I do.

Lucy – You’re welcome, of course. That’s what friends are for … right? (Exhaling as I type this … realizing I’ve still not caught up at Diamonds … don’t know when I’ll get there because today is ‘Retired Ladies Lunch’ in the ‘real’ world … and here I am clearing out my email box, responding to comments, while thinking about this morning’s Fun Monday post at Small Reflections … wondering when I’ll have time to get back to my Baldacci book … thoroughly enjoying everything … wishing there were more hours in the day … grateful I don’t have to go to work! LOL)

Thanks to each of you for your comments here and I hope you have a delightful day!
Hugs and blessings,

grrr Blogger did it again! I am not anonymouse! It is me! I can't even delete that anonymous comment, so you will have to, sorry!

And my comment:

I can't express to you my thanks, Storyteller. I am so honored and the award is beautiful. I am glad you are a part of my life.

Andrée – I’m sorry for the problem you had leaving the comment and have deleted the ‘nonny mouse’ one as requested. I’m glad you like the award and am delighted that you’ve shared it already. Thanks for the link-love back here and have a marvelous Monday!

Thank you so much for sharing the Wind beneath my Wings, I was fortunate to recieve this from Phyl and am so honored to receive it from you as well. I have received some lovely awards lately and will get them all up this week. I find it harder to keep up lately...so many blogs and so little time. Hugs!

That was sweet....I'm always glad to help any ol' time. Whenever, however, and with whomever [is that proper English?] I can...I'm glad to know it's appreciated.

Y'know I did do that poetic license and just completely forgot about it, it was fun. I should do it again soon.

SandyCarlson – You’re quite welcome. I always enjoy my visits to your blog, but now I’m also finding fascinating bloggers through One Single Impression, so I appreciate what you and Andrée have done there.

Greatfullivin – I’m happy to share … especially with one such as you who lives such a ‘grateful’ life! I can relate to the ‘busy-ness’ of things these days. No need to rush … just take your time.

Hootin’ Anni – I’m glad to introduce my blogging friends to one another with a little ‘link-love’ and I am delighted with the Bloggers Over 50 group. I’m sure you’d do great for Poetic License. You always include so much in your daily posts … something for everyone ;--)

Mama Zen – You’re welcome and feel free to pass it on to others.
Karen – Definitely!!! Life is good, indeed ;--)

I hope you’re all having a wonderful Wednesday and thanks for your comments here.
Hugs and blessings,
