California skies
near the ocean often look
just as these photosdepict ...Onshore winds
move clouds inland quickly on
a pallet of blue
to enjoy the 'beach' year-round
and to be retiredso that I can snap
images like these to share
and visit YOURS too!

All your photos are very beautiful. The sky is nice and blue in all of them and I love where you took them from. Happy SWF.
Enjoyed both the 'Ku and photos!
wow and wow i like the shot of the sky...
What beautiful skies! Simply gorgeous!
i bet that's the same - or at least very similar - sky my brother's got. he's in san diego! how blue and beautiful.
Absolutely positively grateful you are retired so i can see the beauty you do 'cause i won't get over there any time soon. i've accomplished so much in my book, i tho't i'd stop in and say hello. i just know you need a hug and a friend to tell you how much your appreciated. Oh, and while i'm here, i was sent this poll this morning. you might be interested in voting - it's about keeping "in God we trust" on America's currency. Here it is: MSNBC poll
Have a great weekend friend. *blessings* to you.
When can I book a trip to stay with you???? Lovely pictures -- thanks.
the clouds look like they're being swept up - by a giant invisible broom in the sky. Very nicely captured.
Beautiful shots of a beautiful sky. The wispiness (is that a word?) of the clouds in the first two brought to mind angels flying.
Lovely Pictures! I want to go there! Have a nice weekend.
nice series of photos
Storyteller, your street looks beautiful. :)
My children so enjoy our trips to California, and are enamored of palm trees, since they don't grow in our cool climate.
Happy Haiku Friday to you.
(P.S.- I'm having yet more trouble since I've upgraded to the latest version of Wordpress; now I can no longer publish from Word. Boo hoo!)
Storyteller, I love these bright blue skies and wispy clouds! Beautiful! hugs,Tina
Great photos! Love the palm trees. YOu are indeed fortunate to enjoy the beach year round. I like winter though and the changing seasons; I think I'd miss those.
Have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the cooler temps! We got some too.

I love how the clouds look like they are wind blown looking.
Great whispy clouds! Great set of photos!
oh how pretty!!!
Ah, yes, I think I could enjoy retirement and such a view. Definitely.
Man I want to retire. Got the beach part covered, just need to be retired so I have time to appreciate it!
I love California skies and beaches. Lucky you. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, you are so fortunate to enjoy such skies and such weather. (Me? I am a wee bit jealous of such a thing!)
Lovely images and lovely haiku.
I always love a blue sky. Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I've also added you to my blog roll. I really enjoy your post and pictures. I hope you don't mind. Take Care.
To everyone – Thanks so much for visiting my Sky Watch/Haiku Friday this week at Sacred Ruminations. I loved sharing the ‘wispy’ clouds on blue skies and appreciate all of your comments. I enjoyed visiting YOUR blogs as well … although Reluctant Farm Chick’s link didn’t work so I couldn’t visit there. To those of you who visited later in the evening or on Saturday, I’ll do my best to drop by your blogs either today or tomorrow. I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. If your email address is available when I move to my gmail … I’ll try to drop you a note that way too.
Hugs and blessings,

Not a care in the world with those lovely blue skies.
Beautiful shots and Haiku! I love what the clouds were doing. I don't even know what to call it, but they were interestingly beautiful.
I saw almost all your blog and really like it, all your photos are awesome I love the photos of pets, specially the seepling dog with the tongue out,Is Taos as beautiful as in the web? I am afraid I am in love with taos.
Isn't it wonderful to be retired and sky watch each day? What a lovely spot you have picked to do it too! Those wisps of clouds looked like white paint smeared on an artist's palette to me!
Thanks for your visit and comments on my SWF. Sorry to be so late making my visits ~ it was a hectic weekend here!
Arija – What a lovely 'musical' response to my Sky Watch with ‘wispy clouds’ from a couple of weeks ago! Methinks I'll be humming it for a while.
Louise – I don’t know what to call it either … but I did enjoy watching ;--)
Faery – Thanks so much for checking out my blog(s). Yez … Taos IS lovely indeed and the ‘vibe’ is wonderful too. I’ve shared MORE Taos photos THIS week at Sacred Ruminations in my Photo Hunt and Wordless Wednesday posts … and also at Small Reflections on Saturday (today actually). Most of the animal photos are ones I’ve taken, but the one with the ‘sleeping lab’ came from another source after NaBloPoMo last November.
Kahshe Cottager – Absolutely yes! I feel so fortunate to have time to enjoy the days … the skies … and so much of life I ‘missed’ while I was busy working all those years. As for being late … I’m just glad you found time to drop by and share your thoughts.
To all – I apologize for being S L O W to respond here, but I sincerely appreciate each of you visiting and sharing your thoughts. If I’ve not been to you blog, I’ll do my best to get there during this long Labor Day weekend as time permits … but I’m focused on catching up on comments and email at the moment and am not going to let myself lose my focus this afternoon. Hope you’re all having a delightful day.
Hugs and blessings,
