Each permutation creates a completely different mood. That is very interesting, Storyteller. Thanks for a tour of the possibilities!

Working with PSE must be a lot of fun! The original photo is great; the variations are most interesting and lovely in their own ways.

Nice Sky Watch.

Very fun! I do love that stark landscape and the mood it presents.

Love all these fun variations...
have a great week!

The problem with PSE is that you now have 7 different views and if like me can't decide which one to use. It is fun to play around with isn't it though. :) Enjoy your weekend.

Amazing... kind of like life - one event but lots of perspectives!!

Ooh, those all look cool. I love how different the mood can be with just a few changes.

I just wanted to say thank you for posting the filters you used. So often I see wonderful photos that have been processed but the artist never tell us how he did that. Thank you.

SandyCarlson – You’re welcome. It’s fun for me to share what I’m learning … but I’ve barely scratched the surface at this point. I did like these results however and I have some others to share when time permits too.

Pat (ArkansasStamper) – It IS fun … especially with assistance. When I tried to experiment on my own several years ago, I found it frustrating. Taking classes this summer has made all the difference.

QuietPaths – Me too and revisiting photographs I took during the summer of 2007 on my way to and from Taos is pleasant as well.

Ellen B – I’m glad … thanks for the visit.

Patsy- This is true and the ‘memory’ consumed by these photos is something to consider as well. That said … for the moment it’s the ‘learning’ and ‘skill development’ that I’m after.

Tammy – I do find each of the views interesting in their own way. I had even more I could have shared, but decided 7 was enough for today.

Laura (Storytellin’Mama) – You’re right … though I hadn’t considered it until you made the point.

Maggie – When I created the post in Blogger’s editor, I wasn’t sure the subtle differences would be discernible … but they do show up don’t they?

Marnie (Roses and Lilacs) – You’re most welcome. My challenge was to ‘fit’ the filter labels into the Haiku format for my Haiku Friday Sky Watch. Actually, I feel much the same way when I visit other photo bloggers who share wonderful images and find myself asking lots of questions. Sometimes I even get answers ;--)

Vixen – Thanks so much. The experimentations are fun but very time consuming … so I can’t play as much as I’d like right now. I do enjoy having a REASON to experiment by publishing ‘results’ on my blogs though.

Debbie – I’m delighted you enjoyed the variations.

WillThink4Wine – I understand there are free websites that allow for some similar kinds of experimentations … and I hear the 7th version of PSE will be out in October … so you might want to wait for it rather than putting out the money for PSE6 now. I purchased the first 3 versions … skipped #4 and 5 … but bought 6 earlier this summer midway through the beginning class when I saw what IT could do that my versions couldn’t.

To all – I appreciate each of you dropping by and sharing your thoughts on my SWF post. I wish you each a wonderful weekend.
Hugs and blessings,

Experimenting looks like fun. It's a great shot, too!

Beautiful picture and interesting variations!

Interesting fun. I wonder if there is a PhotoShop for the MacBook? I'll have to do my playing with iPhoto and Picasa.

Working with photography software is a lot of fun and challenging. Great job!

I like artistic dry palette knife the best. As always, the quote was wonderful.

Storyteller - I am very impressed with your photo variations, but even more impressed that you commented back to each person that commented you. I really loved seeing the photo's and reading all the comments. You are truly unique!

Love it! It's fun to play with filters, isn't it?
And as always, you haiku is brilliant.

I love it! Those clouds look so incredibly different from start to finish. I love the pillowy soft look, and the last :)

Wow, lots of different views. Not sure which is my favorite.

Louise – I appreciate your visit and feedback.

Mama Zen – Thanks … I thought so too!

B. Roan – I took LOTS of photographs on that two-week road trip … and playing with them has been fun.

Vincibene – I’m glad you found them so ;--)

Jo – YES! Adobe makes Photoshop Elements for the MAC. A friend who uses a MAC took the first two classes with me before she left to travel with her husband in their RV. She doesn’t like iPhoto … uses Bridge instead to organize photos, but she does like PSE. I use Picasa for ‘blogging’ sometimes, but much prefer Photoshop’s tools.

Linda – Fun and challenging … yez that about sums it up ;--)

Joyce (of Mom’s Musings) – You must like ‘abstract’ art, right?

Joyce (of Justified Journey) – What a lovely thing to say … thanks! Sometimes it’s pretty challenging to keep up with responding, but I enjoy the interaction and HOPE others SEE my responses eventually … either in email or by revisiting later.

Jules (at Just Because) – Thanks … and YEZ … playing with filters (and now ‘adjustment layers) is great fun!

Sandy (of Momisodes) – Photoshop Elements is pretty amazing and the more I learn about it, the happier I decided to take the classes at the Adult School (even if it’s made my life busier than I like it to be).

Lisa’s Chaos – I couldn’t make up MY mind either … I liked them all for different reasons.

To all – I enjoy seeing SKIES and reading Haiku on Fridays in the Blogosphere. Using my PSE skills and sharing my own photos has been enjoyable too, so it’s fun to combine Sky Watch with Haiku Friday like this. I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend.
