Shadow Shot Sunday

1. In Friday afternoon's 'callback' from Dell Tech Support, I asked whether a bigger (more powerful) battery might solve my my 'dim (as in unreadable) monitor' when running on battery power ... since my Inspiron 1720 laptop essentially an expensive desktop at this point. Sean (Vinnie's supervisor) promised to 'research' the issue and share their findings in Wednesday afternoon's callback. Perhaps they'll find a 'fix' ... but I'm not holding my breath just yet.
2. My sister & I enjoyed our Friday afternoon together at South Coast Plaza ... 'facials' at Origins followed by an early dinner at Z'Tejas in South Coast Plaza where we shared cornbread with honey butter, Tostada Bites, and a Pecan Encrusted Chicken Spinach salad.
4. Based on my first two calls, I have high praise for Costco's Concierge Service and am wishing I'd purchased my Dell 1720 at Costco (as I could have) rather than online from Dell. I wouldn't have had to wait two & a half weeks for it to arrive initially ... I might have gotten better 'tech support' from the beginning and saved the money I just spent on the Sony Vaio. I'll share more
about the new laptop soon, but for the moment methinks I like it. Windows 7 looks a lot like Vista (so it's familiar at this point), the Vaio has some nifty features I've not experienced before, and it comes with2 years of Tech Support with a 3rd year provided by American Express since I used that card to pay for the notebook.
5. Saturday night I attended a Spring Concert sponsored by the Yale Club of Orange County featuring Dr. Jung-A Lee (an Organist who graduated from Yale in 2001) and 'the Whiffenpoofs of Yale' ... a delightfully entertaining A'Capella group. What a wonderful evening of music!

What a delightful post. I'm so. so happy for you that you finally got your Vaio!!! And showed it to us! Of course I have a million questions, because who knows what my next computer will be? I'm very interested to know what these nifty new features are! And of course how you like it so far! Also, what about photo editing on the hard drive's picture file? Mine will had lots of editing features. Delicious pictures of your meal, you know I love looking at food plate pictures, and really good shadow shots! I bet you're having a ball setting up that new Vaio!
Isn't this blog world fascinating? We get to meet all kinds of interesting people thinking all kinds of inspiring thoughts (and just ordinary, everyday kinds of thoughts)and it doesn't matter how far apart we are. We're all connected, all part of the same energy web.
Nice looking laptop. Wish we had the same deal around here.
The Whiffenpoofs are always entertaining. I saw them a long time ago, but I'm sure the group keeps its traditions.
Cool railing shadows..you're lucky to have sunshine!
My husband has the Sony and likes it. I just bought a Mac. Yummy for the corn bread - glad you and Sis had a good visit.
Customer service does still exist - we have to be lucky enough the find it o our travels. The shadow of the railing on the curve leaves a stylish arc under the sun.
The meal is divine, I love honey and who doesn't love cornbread? We live 8-9 miles from Yale, so anything regarding Yale catches our eyes...
Lovely shadows on the walkway. Congratulations on being the proud owner of this gorgeous new computer. I am sure you will love it.
I love your shadow shots. The food shots remind me that I need to eat!
I like the way the path and shadows appear to continue on with the way you've positioned the photos together! Great shots! And that food looks divine! Have a great week!
Beautiful shadow shots, delicious food and your new laptop looks like fun! Also listening to the A'Capella group must have been wonderful.
I mention you today. Hope you don't mind.
You know, all my friends with Dells have had issues with Dell tech support--long wait times, having to do stuff themselves while being talked through it over the phone, it still not working and having to wait forever for a repair person...I don't think I'll be buying a Dell. I get my stuff through Best Buy and then use their Geek Squad--they've been pretty decent.
And by the way? Lunch? Looked DIVINE!!
Congratulations on the new "baby!"
