BYBS#10 and Sacred Life Sunday

Betty left these words of wisdom (from the church bulletin) in her post at Betty's This and That today, and I've decided to pass them along ... just because.

There are 4 things that you cannot recover.

The stone........................after the throw!

The word........................after it is said.

The occasion..................after the loss!

The time........................after it's gone.

Thought for Today

Storyteller you are absoutly right. I'd like to add one more thing if I may. a blog after it has been seen.
I wish I had not written some of the things that I did and published!
Hugs and Blessings That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Thanks, Storyteller. I definitely needed that!

I like those. I'm going to have to remember that.

And about me using reader...I've heard so many horror stories that I plan on keeping it sane.

But I'm sure that's what they all say at first. :)

What a great entry to begin my re-entry into the world of blogging! I've missed you!

Mike – Lessons like this can be painful to learn, but once learned they do help us make better decisions in the future … and that’s why I decided to pass Betty’s message on like this.

SandyCarlson – I’m glad the message was helpful to you ;--)

Melissa – Yup … we all have good intentions, but my Grandma often said ‘good intentions pave the road to Hell’ and there’s certainly truth there. At the same time, forewarned is well armed … so perhaps you can avoid the pitfalls of using a ‘reader’ while enjoying the conveniences. I do enjoy knowing who has posted, so I still use GR … and little by little I’m whittling down the number of subscriptions to a more manageable number. Blogger has a new Blog Roll feature that shows recent posts too. I’m thinking about using it, but waiting to see what kinds of problems pop up for others first so as to benefit from their experience.

Mama Zen – I’m glad it spoke to you ;--)

Karen – I’ve missed you too! Now that I’m back from ‘Retired Ladies Lunch’ … methinks I’ll open Google Reader and see if you’ve posted anything yet.

To all – How delightful to find your comments this afternoon. Thanks for visiting and I hope you’re all having a marvelous Monday!

So simple and so true. Very nice reminder :)

I’m always delighted to find your comments when I arise in the morning, and today is no exception .. so thanks for dropping by. Revisiting these simple reminders found at Betty’s seems like an excellent beginning to what promises to be another busy day for me. Although I love my PSE6 classes, I’m looking forward to a ‘break’ when they end so I don’t have to rush out of the house by 7:30 twice a week. I hope you both have a pleasant day.

Definitely words of wisdom for each of us! I am finally getting around to getting here to read and comment. Sometimes life gets very busy! Drop by to see my blessing if you can.

Paulie – Thanks so much for dropping by Sacred Ruminations. I understand busy … and am definitely ‘behind’ too, but I keep plugging away (bit by bit) and am hoping to catch up eventually. I’m delighted you found these words ‘wise’ and enjoyed ‘revisiting’ them myself this morning. I’ll do my best to check out your blessing in a little while … after I finish responding to comments and eat some breakfast. I hope you’re having a wonderful week.

Couldn't resist adding a few to the list:

Your first love

Home

That first Christmas morning

And on and on...along with the darker reciprocals.

Whatever – Thanks for the visit and the additions … even the darker reciprocals.
