Haiku Friday #32 - Musings of my Mind

(with a little more linky-love)
Earlier I shared
Haiku'd linky-love on my
other blog and now

here I go again ...
One Single Impression has
more Haiku that is

written weekly to
a specific 'prompt' and thus
far I've published nine

OSI posts. Two
at Small Reflections also
seven more right here.

Recently I've shared
awards and 'bling' I've received.
If you've not seen these

take a moment to
check them out because there might
be something for you ;--)

Greatfullivin at
her blog started 'Greatful Gals'
Gratitude Journal.

I am grateful for
so much in my life and hope
you feel gratitude

daily for we're all
blessed in little and big ways.
Counting blessings in

writing daily does
make a difference in my
life and possibly

you ... take time to record
yours in 'journal' form (or not)
but I hope you do.

Finally I wish
to share this award from Phyl
to all those who leave

comments here today.
Please feel to pass it on
lovingly as well.

I do enjoy blogging as a journal. It does serve as a release for me. But I also have a hand written journal. I love both.
Great haikus!

Kathryn – Thanks ;--)
Actually I don’t think of my ‘blogging’ as a ‘journal’ … but perhaps I could. I’ve written by hand (for myself) in a journal for decades (and still do), but seldom share anything I write there. What I post gets created at the keyboard spontaneously and published before I have a change to ‘think’ too much because ‘the inner critic’ would put the kybash on everything otherwise.

Quite the 'ku! :)

Blogging has become a blend of journaling and story telling for me--a more "truthful" form of expression than what I'm used to. It seems to feed the fiction, though.

Wow, you're good at this. I'm really not a writer of any sort. I even failed at journaling lol if that's possible. Haiku is interesting though. Your's is really good.

I never kept any sort of journal until blogging and wish I would have started sooner.

These are great Haiku's! I love to journal, but I haven't been able to for years, I guess the blog really has taken it's place.

Great Haiku, as always. Thanks for sharing the linky-love. I'll be back to pick it up when I return from my trip.

Mike – You’re such a sweetie! Thanks for your kind words about my Haiku.

Rebecca – (smile) Ya know how I get ‘carried away’ on Fridays ;--)

Karen – Well put (re: blogging a blend of journaling and storytelling) and perhaps that’s true for me as well? So … how’s the fiction coming along?

Siteseer – Methinks this might be your 1st visit to my blog because I don’t recognize your ‘handle’ this morning. I appreciate your comment and I’m looking forward to following the link back to yours.

Jennifer – I kept a journal as a child until my mom found and read it when I was 11 or 12 … then I stopped writing entirely until my mid-twenties when I started writing rather rigidly rhymed & metered poetry rather compulsively in journal form. It took me years to ‘morph’ into prose but I learned a lot of things about myself I didn’t know by writing in this manner.

Scylla – Thanks! Ah yez … finding time for both takes some effort and discipline doesn’t it? What I’ve learned is that my fingers type differently than my what my hands (I write with both left and right) reveal.

Eve – You’re most welcome. I’ll need to stop by to see where you’re going … but for now I hope you enjoy your trip!

It’s always a pleasure to find comments in the morning. I appreciate each of you spending a bit of time here at Sacred Ruminations and hope you’ve found ‘links’ worth your time here. There are more in the ‘sister’ Haiku at Small Reflections. Have a wonderful weekend!

I know you left some bling for me and I meant to actually leave a comment and say thank you -- and then I killed my computer -- and I am a month behind in my blog visiting. Sigh! Here I am at last though!

storyteller said...

MPJ – It’s great to see you ‘out and about’ in the Blogosphere again. You’re certainly welcome! I’m aware of your ‘computer issues’ because I’ve read some (though not all) posts in Google Reader when time permits … and I apologize for not commenting, but I’ve just not had time to THINK. You know I don’t like to leave ‘generic’ (or non-responsive) comments … so when I’m crunched I simply ‘wait’ … thinking things will slow down enough to return. I trust that WILL happen eventually though I can’t say just when at the moment.
Hugs and blessings,
