MyWorld#1 - Sunset Beach, California Landmark

This 19th Century Wooden Water Tower
in Sunset Beach, California
is a vacation rental.

It contains a 3-level living space including
a large bar in the tower-top
view room.
The unique landmark stands 87 feet tall ... is 30 feet in diameter ... and offers an amazing view of the coastal area from Newport Beach to San Pedro and Catalina to the San Bernardino Mountains. I snapped these photos over the weekend after breakfast at the nearby Harbor House Cafe with my sister and her husband.

That's My World for this Tuesday.

I apologize for neglecting Simply Kind Tuesdays and Monday Motivator this week and will try to get myself back on track next week, if not here ... then on another blog. Clicking on the links will take you to my previous posts for each in case you missed them and you have time to check them out.

Wow, wouldn't that be a fun place to stay! I'm guess the price is not so fun though :(

I'd love to visit that part of Cal. again and see if anything I remember is still there.

I like your thoughts and the watertower is great!I have never seen a tower like that. We have only concrete watertowers.

What a unique rental unit. I would enjoy staying there if I thought I could afford it.

That's an amazing space. I would love to see the inside. What a great use of the thing.

I had a ridiculous thought of Petticoat Junction and the three sisters in the water tower. If only they knew they were swimming in posh real estate of the future!

Nah, when I fantasize about a vacation right now, I'm picturing something lower. A cabin in the woods?

It seems it doesn´t have a lift? I´ll think about it then if I want to spend my vacation there.

Very unusual place to stay! It would be quite a buzz to be at the top of that tower! And a history as well! Fascinating!

I wanted to see the inside, too, but though I searched, no luck! That would be pretty cool, indeed!

Cool. I'd love to stay there sometime.

I can't be sure, but it seems like this tower was the setting in a book by Dean Koontz! I may be mistaken, because it's been a while since I read the book, but it very well could have been! Nice shots!!!
