Haiku Friday #20 - Spontaneity

It's always something!
Molly wants to play right now
but I wish to write

a Haiku and post
here before I leave the house
even though I don't

have a topic in
mind and there are ninety-five
new emails to read.

How did I allow
so much chaos in my mind
early in this day?

Maybe Molly is
right and we should just go play ...
It is sunny out!

I shall eat a bowl
with my fav'rite cereal,
then give in to her

posting this right now,
reading later rather than
fighting over this!

I hope that you have
a fantastic Friday and
fun-filled weekend too!

For a Mr. Linky to other Haiku Fridays
go to A Mommy Story or
Playgroups are no Place for Children.

My Haiku Friday Volume 17 is here
with 'bling' for friends who commented
on either blog in January & February.

Volume 19 was posted earlier today
at Small Reflections.

To see my previous Friday Haikus,

or on the link About Me in my sidebar.

i fit blogging in, inbetween playing with my son...and cleaning the mess he makes...
but, it's hard when the computer keeps whispering your name...check your email...check your email...
the pull...it's so strong!!
have a wonderful weekend!

Oh my computer whispers to me too - Lucky me it's naptime and I can blog guiltfree! Have a wonderful weekend :)

Transplanting Me – I’m chuckling as I type this because Molly is a ‘fur-kid’ … a 3 year old Labrador Retriever to be exact, but she doesn’t know she’s not ‘my baby’ … and in many respect she’s absolutely right! I need her to keep me fit and active!

SSP – Balance is such an on-going challenge! I do enjoy this virtual world … perhaps more than I should, but Molly (and my good friends) keeps me grounded in the ‘real’ one regularly! She will not be ignored for long ;--)

Dawn224 – Hehehe I’ve resisted putting the ‘addicted’ logo in my sidebar because I don’t like to admit how central blogging has become in my life, but posts like today’s make it self-evident. At least I can calm myself by knowing I’m in good company.

Thanks to all of you for supporting my 'habit' ... and I hope you're having a fantastic Friday! I hope the weekend is wonderful too.

The children are ALWAYS getting in the way of my blogging. That and not having Internet access!

Playing always trumps the computer! Good for you! Have a great weekend!

I gave up my computer to my daughter this morning in the middle of blogging. She's 34, has 2 computers upstairs, but she uses mom's for her personal stuff. Go figure! Even grown-up kids want their fair share of time.

Hope you have a beautiful weekend. We are suppose to get 7 inches of snow here overnight.....

Jennifer – It’s always something … right? Thanks for visiting both of my Haiku posts today ;--)

Kathryn – Good reminder! I love validation for play. LOL

Eve – How very nice of you to share with your daughter in this manner. ;--)

MaryIsabella – Thanks. I suspect we will have wonderful weather all weekend. It’s been gorgeous weather here all week and fortunately the wind stopped a couple of days ago. I wish I could share some of our sunshine with you this weekend.

I appreciate each of you visiting and sharing your thoughts. I hope you had a delightful day and the weekend is wonderful for you.

LOL. I just read that Molly is a dog and not a kid... :) Perfect. Although, she's right; if it's sunny, blogging can wait.

Great 'ku!

Judith – Thanks! We did have fun playing together in the front yard and took a nice walk afterwards. She’s so energetic that I always try to wear her out a bit before our walks. It seems to calm her down and saves my arm and shoulder from unnecessary pain.

Thank you, Friend, for linking me to this blog in your comment. :)

I so agree with your Haiku. A relaxing walk, in good company, should always trump staying inside, even if one is visiting with friends via the Internet. We need that fresh air, movement, and relaxation.

We have a drizzly day here, but I must be a good girl and take our doggie for a walk, nonetheless. :P

Joyce – I’m glad you enjoyed the link. Yes … I’m grateful Molly doesn’t let me sit for hours on end at my laptop without interrupting me because it’s easy to lose track of time. I hope you and your pooch enjoyed your drizzily walk today. I’ve been reading a Dean Koontz book about a gal who rescues dogs. My sister has been talking about it for weeks and when Blogger started giving me error messages this morning, I took it as a sign to let McAfee run a scan of my computer and to lose myself in a ‘good read’ … after taking Molly for a long walk so she’d settle down nearby and leave me alone.

Whatever the Blogger issue was, everything seems to be working now ... but methinks I'll just continue to read a while longer after clearing out my email box. I hope you’re having a wonderful Saturday. I left a bit of ‘bling’ at Small Reflections earlier, so check it out when time permits ;--)

I missed this post--oh well, better late than never!

Storyteller--you're retired! If you can't choose play before all else, then who can? Enjoy yourself right now! That's an order! ;)

Jenni – I know … and I usually give in to her urges to ‘play’ … but ‘blogging’ is ‘play’ (not work) for me ya know ;--)

Karen – I don’t think you missed it. Methinks you visited before I posted it because I always do the one at Small Reflections first for some reason … and I ‘slept in’ later than usual on Friday. Okay … I promise to play and enjoy myself in the moment! (Now, why do I feel like I should write that 25 times on the chalkboard? … Hahahaha!!!) You do remember blogging is fun, right?

Thanks to both of you for taking Molly’s side. I hope you’re having a superb Sunday!
